Office 2003 Pro - SP2 Update -1603 Error

I am getting the dreaded 1603 error when I try to apply Office 2003 SP2.
I have tried the Repair option, and the reinstall option, and both fail.

I think this may have something to do with having to replace my
motherboard a couple of month ago, but I am not sure. I have reviewed
KB article 884298, and have found that I do not have a key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Delivery\SourceEngine\Downloads\download_code

Under the "Downloads" key, I have what looks like to be a Product Code
key (90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-01500.....), and under that, keys for
Properties, Resources and Sources, but no key for download_key.

I am hesitant to completely uninstall/reinstall for fear that that
process will not complete successfully.

Any help would be appreciated

There are many suggestions on these pages, please give them a try, they
include running Detect and Repair and then downloading the fullfile version
of the update. Give them a try and please post back with the solution.
