office 2003 professional reactivation

ok, i had office 2003 professional installed and running flawlessly on my
computer. then i flashed my bios. that worked fine and everything seemed
normal. but i go to open my outlook, and it says that due to a hardware
reconfiguration, i need to reactivate. so i figure, okay, no big deal...

yeah, so i select activate by internet. no-go...says i activated up to the
limit of my product key. i only activated it one other time...the original
installation psh. anyways, so i go back and select acdtivate by phone.
then, all that happens is the screen with those 2 selections disappears!! it
doesn't take me to the normal screen that tells me a phone number to call and
an installation ID to read to the person on the phone. so basically i am
screwed. what do i do now? why the hell doesn't it take me to the phone
activation screen?? please help...i need this for school. this
limited-function mode is b.s. and sucks.

no, no...you see, the little indow shows up with the two bullet-selections
for either internet or telephone activation. i click on telephone, and the
entire little window disappears, and then nothing else happens. but when i
close that and reopen it, the damn window appears again like i never changed
it.

i am just reinstalling office...hopefully that fixes my bug. i will have to
telephone microsoft to activate, and probably remake all my outlook settings,
but oh well...i've learned to expect that from microsoft.

well, the reinstall did not solve my issue. this is BS...if my school didnt
use ms office, i would be strictly using OpenOffice, as it is far superior.

I'm not sure if this is what you are encountering but another MVP,
Joao Tito Livio, found the activation dialog box was missing the lower
portion. Here's how he resolved the issue:

- Hold Shift + Alt and in the upper left corner of the Activation Box,
click and hold the right mouse button and drag down to select the
text. This should force the bottom of the box to display and be
accessible for input.
