Office 2003 professional sp1/2

I have failed numerous times to get these updates. I have checked my
servieces to make sure bits is running. OSE is running. OSE has been
replaced from the install CD. I have uninstalled office and reinstalled
twice. I have tried to install from the full file version rather than the
web. I am at a loss. I am running XP sith SP2.

What is the error that is generated when it fails. Can you post it per verbatim.

Through the web update it just says failed. If I look further I found that
the error was 0x80070643. This error means that the ose is not turned on or
corrupted. I have verified that it is on, and have replaced the file.
