When I open any Office 2003 professional Application, mostly Outlook & Word,
I get the following message;
"The global template, Normal. dot is already open as an add in program"
I click OK (as if I have a choice) and then I receive another message box;
"Insert a disk in Drive E:."
I insert my Office 2003 Professional installation CD into the drive and I get;
"The drive or network connection to shortcut, 06-223-02,rtf.lnk refers to is
unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network link
is available and then try again."
Drive E: is my CD/RW drive, 06-223-02,rtf is a file that is on my other
hard drive and that I did not open after I installed the new hard drive and
reinstalled Office 2003. 06-223-02,rtf is a document that I have on another
physical drive on my machine. I recently had to reinstall my application
software (including Office 2003) onto a new hard drive, due to my previous
drive malfunctioning and failing.
How I fix this problem and make it go away?
