Office 2003 program key invalid?

L

LMNOCEAN

Hi,
I have installed MS office, I have(we have 10 licenses and only about1/2 are in use) a legal and valid program keys for the program. The program accepts the key codes when I installed the software. Now as I go to open word, excel, outlook and powerpoint (access and publisher are fine) it is asking me for the key again. When I enter the key it says it's invalid?

Any suggestions? Or,is there anyway to contact MS for initial installation problems without having to pay support fees?
Thanks
Lisa

Yes, thanks. Actually before I got your reply I found the answer in Microsoft Knowledge Base artical 836178. Basically my new computer had a trial version of office installed which was conflicting with the new version. Once I unistalled the trial version, the full version worked great.
Thanks again for the quick response

How do i know which version to uninstall from my computer? I recently bought
a new lap top and it came installed with XP and as I was looking for Word
(For school work needs), I found it under :MIcrosoft office". That's where I
started hitting my problems. I had entered the trial key and it took, then it
wanted the product key and I finally found it on a sticker under the lap top,
but then it wouldn't take it. I am so confused and ALL I want to do is
create a word document...HELP!

Hi Lisa, I am experiencing exactly the same as you and it is very
frustrating. All I wanted to do was get Office up and running. I have a Trial
version on the laptop so am wondering if I should uninstall it.

Its difficult to know what you are actually asking
If you have a trial version it should be uninstalled before installing a cd
version
