Office 2003 re-install

Hi hope this is the right forum and that someone can help

I have been trialing Office 2003 And I believe that my outlook got
corrupted - started to have real problems connecting to emails etc. Having
tried everything else, tried to do ultimate and uninstall and re-install .

Backed up Outlook folders. Uninstalled whole of Office 2003. reinstalled.
Started Outlook and got one hell of surprise:

Outlook had all my emails, afddresses books etc already there, and Word etc
knew what files i had previously opened.

is this right please?

I do have Office 2002 (minus Outlook 2002) also installed on same machine
but in different folder

Thanks

Alex

Yes, it is. Outlook should remember where you keep your pst file (with the
emails, contacts etc) as its a separate key in the Registry.

And the shortcuts for the last used documents are stored in the Registry
also.
