Office 2003 Reference Books

Andrew Staley

I have recently upgraded to Office 2003 Pro and am know looking for
reference books (preferably Microsoft) on how to better use the program and
describe the new features and how to use them.

Can any one point me in the right direction as to the best book (or website)
to go for, and a good place to purchase these from. I am based in the UK so
no US sites as not really wanting to pay additional shipping charges if I
can avoid it.

Thanks, Andrew.

The range of books for Office is so incredibly diverse and it is hard to
match books against an unknown skill-set and needs. Try browsing through
some of the books on Amazon, which frequently included details chapter or
page summaries. You can browse the US site, and order from the UK site or
another, cheaper vendor.

Andrew--

I'm not an international traveler enough to be in different countries when I
order books, but if you want to use the web and are based in the UK--in
search put in Books or Electronics and Office 2003.

www.amazon.co.uk

I would strongly recommend any of the *Que books and the MS Press books as
easy to use both with tips features. I'll pick out 3 authors or co-author
setups. Woody Leonhard and Ed Bott write the Que book on Office 2003. Ed
also writes the MS Press *Inside Out Office XP book.* Milly Staples writes
the Outlook 2003 book for Que. Diane Poremsky co-authored the *McGraw Hill
Word 2002*--I don't know about Word 2003 with Diane. Because of the
consistent, frequent, excellent help they give on this and other NG's I
would not be without books by these authors. There are many tips/concepts
I'd want to read discussed by them. Woody has several Office newsletters
and has been writing books on Office and Windows for Que and O'Reilly that
are very popular.

Start by looking at the books published by Microsoft Press.
Then order them, or others, from an online bookseller in the UK,
