When issuing the Save As command to a network drive from any Office 2003
product I receive the following dialog box:
The Folder "xxx" isn't accessible. The folder maybe located in an
unavailable location, protected with a password, or the filename contains a /
or \.
What I can do:
1. I can "save as" to my local hard drive.
2. I can "Save" (overwrite) a file on the network drive.
3. I can "save as" from outide of Office Products. (i.e. Notepad, Wordpad,
Paint, etc)
4. I can create the file I am trying to "Save As" in Explorer and then Save
As to that file name.
What I have done:
1. Updated Office 2003 to SP1
2. Updated NIC driver.
3. Verified the problem is within Office 2003.
4. Duplicated the problem "Saving As" to a Win98 and Win95 share with and
without passwords on the share. Problem still exists regardless of
workstation or password.
Thanks for any help.
