Office 2003 SBE OEM to Office 2007

I am getting ready to build a computer for a customer and I have one OEM
version of Office SBE 2003 left. Can the customer upgrade for free to Office
2007 Small Business? I would like to use this OEM Office 2003 before I start
using the new OEM 2007 Office SBE software. What are my options or my
customer's options if I load the 2003 version?

Hi Rudy,

The Technology Guarantee program for Office 2003 to Office 2007 was for purchases made between late October 2006 and February 2007.

An OEM Office 2003 package can be used as an upgrade installation qualifier for a 2007 Retail upgrade package.

Thanks for the info but let me present this question. If it does not qualify
for a free upgrade, then I should throw it away and lose the money, because
it would be better for my customer to load Office 2007 Small Business OEM and
charge him the the software than charge him for the 2003 software and know he
has to buy the upgrade. He will think I am trying to get rid of old software
at his additional expense.

So see the problem I have. One way I am out the cost of the OEM 2003
software and the other my customer has to pay twice to get Office 2007? Do
you see another solution?
