Office 2003 Service Pack 2 error msg

each time i try to download Office 2003 SP2 - half way through i get the
error msg - the instruction at "0x7714d05f" referenced memory at
"0x7714d05f". The memory could not be "read".

what does this mean - and how can i get around it to download the service
pack?

Please give me more details of your erros. Was it from Office Update?
Microsoft Update? Do you have a log file in your temp folder (type Start->Run
and type "%temp%\OfficeUpdate" and press enter)? If so, paste the entire text
of the largest log file here.

Also try running repair on all Office products or manually downloading and
applying the full file update from here
