Do you mean "download" or 'install"? If you can download, but not install,
check out a number of threads below yours in this forum. There are suggested
solutions contained--namely, you must run "Detect & Repair" before you try to
install this upgrade(?)/Service Pack advancement.

I meant install. I found the reason from another person on this site. It was
al about going to Word and doing the "detect & repair". from there I could
install the SP2 for Office.
Do I have to "Detect & Repair all the programs in Office?

This is a very belated reply--I hope you moved on already. But, the answer
is you only have to do Detect & Repair for each SEPARATE office installation
CD you own. If all of your programs came together in one installation, then
just run it once in ANY of the programs included in the installation--Word,
Outlook, Excel, etc. BUT, if you purchased separate Office applications
beyond your original suite--you have to run Detect & Repair for each of these
additional applications--examples can include Publisher, FrontPage, Access,
etc. If you don't repair EVERY 2003 Office Application, the installation
will keep failing until you do. Good luck.

Yes, I have moved on. My original program was Office XP Pro 2002 and I
upgraded to Office XP Pro 2003. Then I downloaded and installed the Office XP
SP2. After first doing the detect & repair in the word part of the Office
program.
Thanks for the help. Have a great week.
