Office 2003 Service Pack -- Which one?

J

Jack Gillis

I just installed Office 2003 on my laptop first and then my desktop.
On the laptop, I chose not to uninstall 97 until I was sure of 2003. I
found it worked just fine after getting used to it and so on the desktop
I chose to delete 97.

I am now ready to update them both. I looked at the Office Update site
and found SP1; in fact, two versions of it.
Office2003SP1-kb842532-client-enu.exe ~18MB

and

Office2003SP1-kb842532-fullfile-enu.exe ~74MB

Which should I use? My choice would be the smaller even though I have
ADSL access.

And while I am at it, Should I worry about searching for an update for
the jet 4 engine to go along with the Service Pack?

Thank you

if you plan to copy the file between computers, get the bigger admin pack...
or just use Help, Check for updates on both machines.

Jack Gillis,
There is a slight contradiction in your post;
"I am now ready to update them both."
If you want to update Office 2003 download the client update from the Update
site. It will install relevant to your original installation from the
microsoft server.
The full file version can be downloaded and run from your machine, but you
would need to keep the large file on your machine for future updates since
that was the source of the SP update.
