Office 2003 shared calendar appearing empty

I am attempting to access a shared calendar from the exchange server, the
calendar has thousands of items and shows them as new items when observing
through foldier view. When the calendar is opened, or short cuted by adding
to Calendars all data is not visable in my outlook.

Any hints / ideas?
