Office 2003 - Sluggish and PDFMaker Files Missing

After recently installing MS Office Pro 2003, my system became extremely
sluggish/slow. I have a 1G processor, 512K memory, and plenty of free HD
space, so my system specs shouldn't be an issue. It even takes almost a
minute to bring up the Internet browser (DSL speed at 3K-6K), which wasn't an
issue with Office 2000.

Another issue is that the Acrobat/PDF icon (Acrobat 7.0) is missing and when
I try to create a PDF file, it says, "Missing PDFMaker files." What's going
on? I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 7.0, along with all the
updates, to no avail.
