Office 2003 Sm. Bus. Edition won't install on Windows Vista

I have successfully installed a copy of Office XP for Students and Teachers
on my Windows Vista machine. However, when I try to install an upgrade copy
of Office Small Business Edition 2003 on the same machine, I get error 1608.
What can I do? The installer program can't find my copy of Office XP either
installed or when I insert the cd when prompted!

Thank you for your reply, but the options in the KB article do not apply to
my problem. I already have office installed, so why can't the upgrade
installer find it? Also, when I insert the cd, the installer can't find the
cd either.
