Office 2003 SP1

Ahmad Fraz

I deploy office using the administrative share. I am trying to deploy office
2003 and then install SP1 on top of it. Once I extracted the Office 2003 SP1,
I noticed a new file called, owc102003sp1ff.msp.

So far I know that this file has something to do with the office web
components.

I need to know if I also need to deploy this file in addition to the other
two files that come with SP1.

Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Thanks!

We use a GPO in Active Dir in Win 2003 to assign the Office 2003 application
to our Desktop OU. Brandon had me modify the original .msi file with the SP1
patch -

Msiexec /p mainsp1ff.msp /a \\server\share\pro11.msi /qb SHORTFILENAMES=True
/l*v sp1.log

Obviously your string will have the location of your pro11.msi file.
