I have an office 2003 SP2 admin point from which all office has been
installed onto an image and the image rolled out.
I use SMS 2003 to deploy OS security patches .. can I use SMS to update the
office on the users PCs and then the admin point .. or do I have to update
the admin point and then do a reinstall on the users PC's
If its the latter then this is going to get very messy - especially now that
there are updates every month. I have users that could easily be out for more
than a month and their PCs switched off. In this scenario the admin point
will start to be be unsynched with the users.
Also a reinstall tends to mess with the startmenu which has been customised
on the image...
Whats best practice here ?
