Office 2003 SP2 installed and CD won't burn anymore

CD writing fails with two packages after installing Office 2003 SP2. I have
tried 1/2 dozen new CD's, rebooting, and both the Windows CD Writing Wizard
and Roxio's, and each hang for a long time and won't complete. Can there be a
connection with Offc 2003 SP2? I want to roll back SP2 - but CAN I? I have a
clean Dell D610 w/XP Pro/SP2.
