Office 2003 SP2 & MAPI Outlook Address Book

Hey all,

I've got a problem with an Outlook Address Book I've not been able to
resolve yet.

We are deploying Office 2003 SP2 using a MST file generated using the
CIW. Specifically for Outlook, a new profile is created (page 17). On
page 19, "Outlook: Add Accounts", I select "Customize additional
Outlook profile and account information" and add "Outlook Address
Book".

After I install Office on a machine. The Outlook (exchange) profile is
there as expected, but the Outlook Address Book is not added.

What I'm wanting to set is to allow the users to use their contacts as
an address book, which I believe requires this. Is there any other way
to add this? I am doing something wrong?

Any help welcome!

Thanks,

Rich

An update on this.

For my tests, I was uninstalling & reinstalling Office 2003 on the PC
and it didn't work.

I just re-installed the PC totally, and it did work.

Any comments are welcome - e.g. should this method work consistantly
from now on?

Thanks!

Rich

I'm experience the same problem. I think Outlook Address Book is not added
if you configure the MST or using the CIW for the administrative installation
point by design. I posted a few questions online and hopefully someone can
come up with an aswer.

If you find a solution to this, please let me know.
