Office 2003 SP2 update failing with error 0x78F

The Office 2003 SP2 update keeps showing up in my AutoUpdate list, but fails
every time it trys to install. I've attempted to install this from the
Microsoft Update site with the same results.

After the update fails, I am unable to run any Office application. Why I
try I get a dialog stating "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft
Office Professional Edition 2003". Then I get another dialog with the
following:

Error 1935. An eror occurred during the installation of assembly component
{C1E59364-35F6-44B3-AF0F-FCA934C4B252} HRESULT: 0x800700B7.

As a result I must reboot the system in order to be able to use my Office
apps.

Any ideas?

This solved the problem. The process was very tedius, but it stopped my
updates from failing.

I am trying to install Office Pro Plus 2007 for the first time on a new dell
laptop that did not come with any office products on it and i am getting the
same error message. Would the update help me also?
