Office 2003 SP2

I try to install Office MUI 2003 SP2 and it fails. I get following error
message: "The expected version of the product was not found on your system"

I had a plain Win XP SP 2 installation with German MUI, Windows Installer
3.1, .net Framework 1.1 and .net Framework 1.1 SP1
Then a complete manual installation of Office 2003 RTM
Then Office 2003 MUI German RTM
Then Office 2003 SP 2

Until this point all works fine.

Then I try to install Office 2003 MUI SP2 and I get the error. Help!
