office 2003 sp2

My issue is that sp2 will not install, even using the full version download
(100 Mb) the message is "Didn't find the expected program version" or
something similar. The About box shows SP1.

Any advise is of course appreciated.

Let me add one thing, after cont' reading an advice was to repair Office by
using Word, the message that came was cannot update Win.ini. Now after
changing some stuff in the REG from D: to C: I got rid of that error. But
still the message about expected version.

Any ideas??
