We just upgraded 9 computers in our office and after installing Office
Professional 2003, we ran the SP3 update. Now we have several issues:
1 - Databases are creating a backup copy (db1, db2, etc) when closing. They
compact on close, but the backup copy stays instead of disappearing after the
process is complete.
2 - One computer has a program installed that uses a runtime version of
Access, and after Access 2003 is opened, this program will not run. I have
to re-install it then it works fine....until we open Access again! Is there
a setting to where the local version of Access 2003 will not interfere with a
runtime version??
3 - We can't print to network printers from an Office 2003 program anymore!
We can print to a PDF, then print the PDF to any printer we want, but can't
print directly from Word.
These are the wierd things we've noticed so far. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated! If not, is it possible to remove SP3?? When I go to
Control Panel to Add/Remove Programs, it says it cannot be removed from
there....is there another way to get it off if we can't resolve these issues?
THANKS!!
