Office 2003 SP3 not installed

G'day
I'm trying to install Office 2003 SP3 - it downloads fine but wont install
After it's failed it takes me to a page for me to check the GUID which I do &
all seems fine there but it fails to install each time - there's no error
message other than it failed to install
I'm running XP Pro - Office 2003 Professional Edition - I have stacks of
disk space - I don't know what else to check - maybe Grandmothers aren't
allowed to update their computers? <g>
If anyone can help in real basic language please, I'd appreciate it - I am
not computer literate
