I

ianh

after a recent fault with Outlook --- machine surgested i check for
updates --- clever machine

downloaded SP3 for Office 2003 over th next hour... hit run and and
within seconds it came up with Error either lack of memory resorces
or something to do with Cabinet?

but then all text boxs went leaving me with no clue as to what had
happened and no clue as to how to proceed...

will sp3 be stored on disk or just in ram --- should i restart pc ---
or should i re down load and save to desktop.

Anybody got a clue?

Just because you get a message saying that you NEED to update to
Office 2003 SP3 doesn't mean that you NEED to. It's probably in your
best interest to hold off on installing SP3 until Microsoft works the
bugs out of it. You were probably lucky that you were not able to
install it. It often causes more problems than it solves. The
problems occur in virtually all the Office components after the
update. For instance, not being able to open attachments that you
could before.

SP3 is *NOT* stored in RAM.
