Office 2003 Standard upgrade question

T

Tom

Hi Folks :),

I already have an OEM version of Work Suite 2004 on my PC, and I was
wondering if an OEM version would qualify for a retail version of MS Office
2003 Standard Upgrade. I went to the MS Office site, and it does list Works
Suite 2004 (among other suites) as a qualifier, but it has no specs
regarding an OEM.

Just to add, my PC came with a full OEM of Works Suite 2004 from Dell, but
wasn't installed as Dell only installs what I request (I like doing my
installs). My Works Suite version does come with a product key on the
container which holds the install disks.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Your Works Suite is a qualifier. It doesn't matter if it's an OEM
copy when you apply an Office 2003 Retail product upgrade package
it will look for an installed copy of a qualifier. If it doesn't
find it installed it will ask you to insert the Works CD during
Office setup.
