Office 2003 Student Edition vs. Office 2003

I just bought Office2003Student/Teacher edition and my
computer teacher said not to open it. She said that it
is only good for 1 year and then you can't use it any
more. I know you can't use the update service, but how
can this be true? She said to buy the full version. Can
anyone tell me if this product really locks you out after
1 year of usage? THANKS

No it doesn't, you're licenced to use it for as long as you are a student.
