Office 2003 update over Office XP install problems...

I chose the upgrade option with Office 2k3 and it worked fine.

But, when I run office update, it tries to install Office XP SP1 which it
downloaded but didnt install. is there a cookie/flag somewhere I can reset
so it looks for Office 2k3 updates and NOT OXP updates?

Do you have any Office XP (2002) components still on your system, such as
Visio 2002 or Publisher 2002?

No, I dont... I had installed just Office XP on the system, FP, XLS, Word,
Outlook - no access.

I didnt uninstall OXP first -- just O2k3's upgrade feature.

Hi Bernard,

If you had installed FrontPage 2002 then Office 2003
would not remove it (no Office 2003 Edition includes
MS Office Frontpage 2003). Check in Add/Remove Programs
in the Windows control panel to see what is listed.

Hi Bernard,

You initially said you had no 2002/XP programs installed.

You then said you did (Frontpage 2002). You now appear
to be asking about a different computer.

What MS programs are listed in Add/Remove Programs
in the Windows Control Panel?

If there are any Office family apps there then
the Officeupdate site will continue
to suggest updating them.

Hi Bernard,

Again (3rd request) - what MS 2002/XP series programs are
listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control
Panel.
