Hi All,

I am having problems updating office. I have MS office installation back up
files on my disk. But the problem is I renamed the drive from D to G. So
whenever I try to do some updates it fails saying invlid drive D:. Which
registry key do I need to change to make it point to G drive instead of D?

Thanks!

What I would do is not mess around with trying to tell the installation
program what drive the source files are on.

On Microsoft's Office Update website, when getting ready to install SP2 for
Office 2003, I believe it gives a person an option to select whether they
have the source CD or not. If one tells the website the source files are not
available, it won't prompt for them.

By "...installation back up files...." do you mean MSOCache?

If so, check:

MSOcache

Local Installed Resources:

At the bottom of the article there is a link to a MS Utility to move the
MSOCache files. Use this utility to move the MSOCache folder to another
partition. Reboot. Use the utility again to move the MSOCache folder back
to your G partition. The movement should reset your registry to the current
location of the folder.
