office 2003 update

dear all, i have office 2003 installed, and i have upgraded from office XP,
now when i went to update the office 2003 i was able to do it succesfully,
but i still get office XP SP3 comes up as critical update. Now since i have
office 2003 installed with all updates of office 2003, do i need to install
the updates of office XP? keep in mind that office XP is not being used
because i have upgraded to 2003.

Khaled,
If you have remaining Office applications from your XP version still on your
system you will be prompted for the latest XP updates. Check add/remove
programs.

Dear Chris:

Thanks for the info, they are very helpful. Now i found a couple of office
XP components in the add/remove 1- Microsoft office XP professional , 2-
MIcrosoft office XP media content. if i remove them will that effect the
office 2003 performance. will that remove office 2003 since i upgraded to
2003 rather than install a full version of office 2003 (if available).

Khaled,
You can remove XP if you want. Are there any programs from XP that are not
included in your 2003 upgrade that you still use? If so, keep XP in place.
