Office 2003 updates failure

M

Manster

After a system crash at the weekend, I restored my system to an earlier time
from my external hard-drive back up. Everything was working okay - but when
Windows update had finished updating everything, it told me there were Office
2003 updates that couldn't be installed.
Have uninstalled/reinstalled Office 2003 Professional twice now, but the
updates are still unable to be installed.
The updates are:
Office 2003 Service Pack 2
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB914455)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB921566)

Is this likely to be a registry issue - if so, how do I do a complete
uninstall of Office so that any corrupt registry entries are removed?
Does anyone have any ideas how to get around this problem? I'm pretty
computer literate, but not confident with registry entries - so if someone
could 'talk' me through any solution, I'd be grateful.
Thanks!
