Office 2003 Updates for 2007?

I only have Office 2007 Ultimate installed, but when I do an update check
it is calling for Office 2003 and XP updates. What gives? Why would I
need updates from a version of Office I don't have installed?

Probably because you have the Office Compatibility Pack installed. Just mark those
updates as hidden

For what its worth, the poster could have the Office Web Components
installed and therefore wouldn't want to decline updates for it. The OWC
will be listed in Add/Remove programs and can be installed by other
applications.

True but doubtful from the what the OP posted. I doubt he\she would have installed
the OWC components. At least now he\she sees the possibilities. Thank you neo
