I have never received an option from Windows/Microsoft Update for my Office
’03 products. I have tried from time to time to figure out the problem to no
avail. If possible, I would like to try to resolve this. Recently I tried a
few things that may or may not help.
I received this message when I tried to update from "Office update" (error
number 0x80072EE2).
From there I visited several sites, among them, the links below which
either routed me to W/MS Updates or back to the main page for Office
Products.
www.support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=907380
www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/updates/bulletins/200809.mspx
I did search for updates from links within the pages, and at one point I
received the a no updates available/error; and at one point I received an
option for SP3 and SQL (and something else I can’t remember – not familiar
with it). I did not download anything there.
I downloaded this> (KB954478), but did not install yet.
I would like to “catch up†on all security updates for Office ’03. Is there
a way to do this? Something like they did with IE SP2?
I routinely check Windows/Microsoft Updates and install all high priority
updates. Again, I have never received an option for Office, or SP3, SQL,
etc.
Stats>>> XP-home, IE6, SP2 – MSO 2003 – SP1 (CD) I believe it is installed
“per machine†/not “per userâ€
Thank you.
