Current install base is WinXP SP2 with Office 2000 (installed via admin
install point).
Backend is Server 2003 with Active Directory.
We are trying to come up with a solution to centrally:
1) Uninstall Office 2000
2) Deploy Office 2003 (Open volume license key purchased) after creating an
MST (not sure whether to do an local or network install)
3) Cleanup Start menu and Quick Launch shortcuts
4) Avoid having to perform any manually cleanup and reduce Outlook MAPI
profile configuration issues
We are exploring a deployment scenario via GPO, but it is not clear to me
whether we could use WSUS to update the Office software on all computers,
just as Windows is.
Thanks,
Danny.
