My question is really about office in general not just
powerpoint. I just simply wanted to know which is more
advanced between office 2003 (which came with my dell and
windows xp) or office xp. I saw office xp on my friends
pc and when I click about office powerpoint xp it says
2002. Which is really more advanced and has more
features? Thank you

Office System 2003 is the most recent version of MS Office. The 2003
programs have more features than Office XP. The individual programs in
Office XP are known as Program 2002 (e.g., PowerPoint 2002, Word 2002,
etc.).

There's not a *whole lot* of difference between PPT 2002 and 2003, though.
The biggest is probably Package for CD, which is available in 2003. But you
can fake it with PPT 2002, so it's not really a huge thing.
