Office 2003 -- what to do with older Office products?

Dan

Simply put: if I buy an Office 2003 Teacher/Student edition, what can
I do with my Word XP?

The package is full, not an upgrade, so it seems to me I should be
able to take Word XP, uninstall it, and install it on another
computer.

Haven't found the answer on MS; anyone know? And if I can, what I
need to do to re-set the product activation?

Thanks!

The Office 2003 Student and Teachers Edition
and Word 2002 retail standalone would be two separate
licenses and either can be transferred to another
computer.

Word 2002 cannot be transferred separately if it's
part of MS Works Suite, and an OEM copy of MS Word
can't be transferred and reactivated.

Thanks, Bob! (c8

So... PRIOR to installing Office 2003, I'd uninstall Word or the
suite... then, what? In installing it on the other pc, follow the
prompt to call MS, explain to them that I replaced Works on one pc
with 2003, and was installing it on another pc?
