Office 2003 will not open docs saved with 2007 Enterprise

Wife is running office 2007 enterprise on her cpomputor and sends a doc save
as a doc and friend can't open it. She is running office 2003

Your wife's friend should download the free compatibility pack, which enables
W2003 to open and edit W2007 documents.
Or
You wife should save her files as a Word 97-2003 document be fore sending
them to her friend.

I had her save the file in Word 97-03 doc but no luck. I sent her friend a
link for a compatibility pack. Thanks
