Office 2003 with Local Install Source

D

DebS

We are installing Office 2003, company-wide, with a Local Install Source so
that we will be able to take advantage of the update features once we have
our WSUS server in place. My question is a newbie question. Once the
installation is in place, must we run the LISTOOL utility to actually
activate the Local Install Sourace.... that sort of seems like double work.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Deb,

You can deploy the Local Installation source ahead of time or as part of the rollOut of your Office products, but you should only
need the LISTool if you want to move the location of the MSOCache folder from its initial one in Office 2003. You may want to
review the information in the Office 2003 Resource Kit at
http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2003
