Office 2003 WMF File lockup

Each time I try to insert a WMF file, whether local or on the MS Office Clip
Art site, it locks either Powerpoint 2003 or Word 2003. I must kill the
application to exit through Task Manager. Has anyone seen this behavior
before? Other image types are fine (JPG, GIF, BMP, etc). Symptom is only on
WMF files.

I am presently having a very similar problem in all my Office 2003 apps
I cannot import or see WMF files. All other graphic file types wor
fine. I get an error when trying to import a .wmf file into eithe
Publisher or Word. I also cannot see any graphic files of .wmf typ
that were part of existing publications. I searched for an answer t
this problem for the last 2 days without having any luck. This starte
2 days ago. I believe a M/S update could be the root of the problem.

Please Help
