Office 2003

I installed Office 2003 and critical updates. Afterwards I couldn't open any office documents. The only solution I can find is to completely uninstall Office and reinstall Office 2000 and SR1. Any time I download more current updated I cannot open previously saved files (word, excel, publisher, powerpoint). I would like to use the newer version but cannot loose all my information. HELP!

Hi Lee,

If you also use Norton AV then their "Office Plug-in" option is known
to cause this behavior. To rectify, in Norton Options select
"Miscellaneous" and turn off "Enable Office Plug-in"
