I just bought a new laptop that comes with the trial version of 2007. I had
already previously purchased 2003 for my old computer, but I didn't save the
disk, only the registration number. How do I download 2003 on this computer
as the only links I can find is 2007 and this registration will not work for
07.

You can't. if you have a genuine key then buy a cheap version on EBay.
