Office 2004 and upcoming 2008 Licensing

Ryan R. LaMothe

Hello,

We have a large number of Mac in our corporation and have been buying Office
2004 licenses one at a time, unfortunately, this is ridiculously expensive.
We have Gold Partner/MSDN/etc. status with MS so our Windows Office licenses
are free...but these licenses do not count for the Mac version of Office,
for no good reason. Now, how can our corporation purchase Office for the
Mac with either a volume discount or preferably free with specific
Partner/MSDN status so that we can reduce our individual licensing costs?

Thank you,
Ryan

Hello Ryan,

People here are not employees of Microsoft -- we just help each other to use
the company's products. You should contact Microsoft for the information you
want (I infer you are in the US; I can't provide phone numbers down here,
unfortunately).

Hi Ryan!

If you have Partner status then you probably have a dedicated
representative from Microsoft. Since licensing agreements can always be
negotiated I suggest you contact your rep. Our company is volume
licensed for Mac software so with the proper agreement then I'm sure
yours can be too.

Hope this helps!
