Office 2004 Crashes on Save

I had an issue with Microsoft office 2004 for mac and I thought I
would share it with everyone here. When the user tried to save or
save as any document in word, excel or powerpoint , office would lock
up and crash and the spinning pinwheel would keep spinning until you
forced it to quit. The user had the resolution set to 800 X 600 on
his intel macbook and it had to be reset back to the factory
resolution of 1280 X 800 until office would work again. I just
thought I would share this on the group because I spent a few days
looking for the answer.

hope this helps someone,
andy

I'm sorry, I had to check again, the resolution was actually set to
800 X 500, I just recreated the problem on my Macbook.

Thanks for the info. System specs for Office 2004 are documented as 1024 x
768 or higher.

Hi Andy:

Thanks for the report!

{Sigh} Haven't they gotten rid of that one YET??? That's a bug that first
surfaced in Word 6 for the PC. Word is sensitive to the graphics driver
software.

If the graphics driver has a bug in rendering 2-D images, Word will find it
out...

Cheers
