Office 2004 error message

I had to initialize my MacBook Pro and reinstalled everything. I am
unable to use any of the Office 2004 applications because I keep
getting an error message, "An unexpected error occurred while trying
to load the Microsoft Framework Library". I cannot find a way to
uninstall and reinstall the office programs, and can't figure out any
other way to fix this problem. Any suggestions will be greatly
appreciated, since I really don't want to start all over again without
knowing what is creating the problem.

If you receive a framework error, re-apply recent updates. A framework error
normally means one or more components of Office have not been updated
correctly and are now out of synch with other bits.

If you find you need to start over use "Remove Office". It's on the install
CD and in the Additional Tools folder inside the Microsoft Office 2004
folder.

That would be the Apple 10.4.9 Updater you're missing :)

When you re-install, you have to re-apply all the updates, because they're
no longer applied to the newly-installed software.

Cheers
