Peet Slikker

HI!

I'm using Office 2004 on Mac OS X 10.4.7.

I'm trying to load a spreadsheet from a vendor and it won't work
proerly. The vendor has told me that the Mac version of Excel is a
couple of versions behind Windows.

I didn't think ths was he case. Am I dreaming or are they just making
excuses for sloppy code?

Thanks!

It is not surprising that "it won't work". The Macintosh version is "not a
couple of versions behind", but it is different in several ways. And, yes
they may be making excuses for sloppy code, or much more likely ignorant
about what is wrong. The problem most likely is that the windows version
contains active X controls. These are not supported on the Macintosh. It is
also possible that the code uses VBA 6 functions not supported on the
Macintosh. You'd have to get much more specific about "it won't work", so we
can help. What doesn't work? What happens? Are errors generated?
