office 2004 for intel processors

compared to running office 2004 on a mac wit ha G4 processor, how well
will office 2004 run on the 13" macbook without any added RAM and a 2.0
GHz processor

apps under Rosetta (nor most native apps either, frankly). And it's not
expensive.

Yes indeed. Note that those reviews used machines with 2Gb RAM.

Rosetta eats up a LOT of RAM.
Several vendors sell RAM for these Mac for a muchmore reasonable price
than Apple actually. I bought mine through Other WOrld COmputing:

(but I'm sure therer are many other options).

buying RAM from OWC (http://www.macsales.com) or eBay because it is
about 1/3 the price as it is from the Apple store. I have 2G on order
now for $200.

Yeah, with 512, the translated process (part of Rosetta) uses humongous
ammounts of virtual memory and slows down everything. You definitively
need more.
