Office 2004 for Mac

I have purchased Office 2004 for Mac and have used one product key. I
would like to share it with my sister (who lives in another state) by
sending her a copy of the disc along with another product key. Can I
duplicate the CD? If not, how will I be able to reinstall Office on my
laptop, if I need to, without having the original CD?
Thanks
Nina

Go to this page and select the EULA for the version of Office you actually
have. (Since you suggest having more than one *license* I assume you have
the S/T edition.)

IIRC, all 3 licenses must be used within the same household. Also, I believe
the license holder is allowed to make one backup copy of the original
install disk What you do with it is up to you, but under any aspect of any
license agreement I've ever read what you propose is disallowed. Keep in
mind that what you are *permitted* to do and what you can physically
accomplish are separate & distinct - connected only by your concience &
integrity :)

Hello Bob,
Thank you for replying to my post. Yes I do have the Student/Teacher
Edition.
I am not sure what you meant by:"Go to this page and select the EULA

How can I make a backup copy of the original install disk? When I
tried to duplicate it using my CD writer program, it tells me that the
CD is not rewritable.
I appreciate your help.

Sorry about that - I'm certain I inserted the link but I just looked at my
post and saw that it wasn't there after all... don't know what happened, but
here it is. Just click the link below:

It sounds like you're trying to copy the disk to itself or to a disk that
already has content & can't be written to again. Also, I'm not sure about
the S/T version, but it might be a DVD - in which case you won't be able to
copy it to a CD - too much data, so you'll have to copy to another DVD.
Depending on what software you have you'll most likely need to drag the
Office disk icon into the burner program window, then remove the Office Disk
& insert the blank to be copied to. There should be prompts along the way to
tell you when to do what. Check your disk burning software for specifics.
I appreciate your help.
