Office 2004 for MAC

For some reason (I may have been guilty of accidentally deleting), my Microsoft updater is not working. Whether automatically or manually, I see an error message when I try to launch it. What should I do?

If I need to uninstall and then re-install, what is the safest way to do it without accidentally deleting any files?

Please help.

Go to the Downloads section on Mactopia
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx> and download the following
updates:

* 11.3.5
* 11.3.6
* 11.3.7
* 11.3.8
* 11.3.9

Apply them all in the order listed above, and your copy of Office should
be up-to-date and you won't have to worry about AutoUpdate any more. As
for answering your question: I don't know what would cause it to behave
like this. I can't think of any way to fix this, either, short of
removing and then reinstalling Office.
