I created a document in Word 2004 on a Mac and when I attempted to reopen the document on another Mac with Word 2004 the formatted cells changed/reflowed. Is there a reason for this? and Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Whenever you open a document in Word, it will re-flow the text as required
to format it for the current default printer.

All WYSIWYG word-processors do this (if they didn't, they wouldn't be
WYSIWYG...)

There are a whole range of techniques you can use to ensure that when the
document reformats on a different computer, nothing moves.

However, I don't know what you mean by "formatted cells", so I don't know
which ones to suggest.

Cheers
