Office 2004 Free upgrade for previous Office v. X users

When I bought Microsoft Office X I was told that once Office 2004 for
Mac were release I could get a free upgrade to it since I bought it
few months before the release. I have looked all over to find a way to
do it but I have not found any info about it.
Can any one help me on this matter? Where can I download the form if
this is true or how can I get the Free upgrade?

Thanx in advance

One more thing: I bought Office X 4 mos. ago and don't have the box/UPC
code anymore, which the coupon says you have to have, along with the
receipt. I called Microsoft (took 6 calls to find the right place but I
should have noticed that the number to call is right on the
coupon.....)and pleaded my case.

I was told it is OK to send in the cover page of the little paper manual
that comes with Office X, instead of the UPC code. The man said they are
"accepting the manual cover if you no longer have the original box, and
the receipt to qualify for the free upgrade to Office 2004." Yay! A
reasonable way out of my dilemma---I was pleasantly surprised.
